August is rarely a high performance month for estate agents in Redhill and Reigate because the school holidays affect the neighbourhoods quite strongly. The month can be seen as a time for agents to reflect on the year so far and to plan for the coming autumn season: September to November is usually a very good period for selling property.
However, that doesn't mean we make a decision to sit on our laurels and August was actually a very successful month here. Figures from Rightmove confirm that, with sales agreed on 13 properties between 1st & 31st August, Ralph James performed almost twice as well as our nearest competitor who sold 7. The vast majority of other agents in Redhill and Reigate each sold between 2 and 4 properties last month, so we really did have a particularly strong result.
With families now returning from their summer holidays and thinking once more about moving home, the idea of spending Chirstmas in a new property will be forming in many people's minds. So if you live in the Redhill and Reigate area and have been thinking about selling your home this year, the autumn period we are now entering offers a very good chance of success.
