Great news for the continued regeneration of Redhill's town centre this week as the proposals for a new development of cinema, shops, restaurants and 153 apartments were given the thumbs-up by Reigate & Banstead Borough Council.

The town centre has already seen major changes with the first section of the new Sainsbury's superstore opening last year. Meanwhile, above our offices, the Queensgate development is bringing 32 high quality and much needed contemporary apartments to the heart of Redhill, over half of which have already been reserved. Next up for completion is Warwick Quadrant later in 2017.

One of the things we are most excited about with the new cinema development is that it will create an evening economy and street life in the town centre. While busy in the day, the middle of Redhill pretty much empties once the regular working day is over and, to us, that's a real shame - part of any town's charm is seeing people enjoying restaurants and bars in the evening with the lights and hum of conversation filling the air.

The new scheme is by Coplan Estates and designed by architects PRP. If all goes to plan, building works will commence later this year with completion in 2019.
