IMMACULATE on the approach, this THREE-STOREY house has a red and yellow brick façade, with a decorative arch over the portico and a TRADITIONAL tiled step leading to the door. Once inside you are welcomed into a long entrance hall, and it is clear this home has been MODERNISED THROUGHOUT. While many of the original features remain, those that have been lost to time have been reinstated with reproduction pieces and the palette is FRESH AND LIGHT, maximising the light throughout.
On the ground floor, there is one reception room to the right; with a GENEROUS BAY looking out to the attractive buildings opposite, and the kitchen/dining room is to the back with views of the PRETTY GARDEN. Beautifully BRIGHT, there is ample space in here for formal dining and it becomes a great area where guests or family can sit and chat to you as you prepare the evening meal. Slate inspired tiles line the floor to complement the white walls, and the contemporary style units provide PLENTY OF STORAGE.
Outside, the two patios have plenty of space for dining al fresco as the weather heats up and there is a small lawn with room to the rear for a shed and plants.
Plush carpet underfoot leads the way to the first-floor where the exceptional standard of finish continues up here. In the bathroom which is ahead from the top of the stairs, a freestanding rounded edge claw foot bath takes centre stage and there is a separate walk-in shower for when time is of the essence. The master bedroom is a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of a busy day, with a beautiful central fireplace, decorated in calming neutral tones, lit up by the large bay window.
Up to the second floor, both bedrooms are doubles, the one to the front of the house has floor to ceiling built-in wardrobes and could be changed to the master, should you wish. Even with a large bed and several pieces of bedroom furniture, the floorspace is not compromised, and a delightful morning light shines in from the south east.
“We fell in love with this beautiful Victorian house as soon as we saw it! It has always felt like home to us; bright, warm and so very relaxed. Each room has its own unique character with period and modern features lovingly intertwined.
The street and neighbourhood has a wonderful community feel. We are in the heart of it all with the luxury of the town centre, rail links and stunning Redhill common on the doorstep. There is always something to do! Equally, the house and garden offers incredible privacy if you feel you just want to get away from it all.
We will really miss this home but with the help of Ralph James we are hoping to be able to pass this absolute gem on to someone who loves it as much as we do".
