Contemporary with a splash of rustic, this second floor one-bedroom apartment has been decorated by its current owners to create an serene retreat where you can return after a hectic day to unravel the stresses of the day and recharge.
It’s unusual designs make this apartment quite spectacular, the open plan living space has a large skylight as well as big sash windows keeping the room flooded with natural light all year round and offer you some marvellous secluded views of the surrounding countryside. In the cooler months you can keep warm with the original cast iron radiators that run throughout the flat.
The fitted kitchen has sweeping double doors leading you in, you can keep these open to give the space an open plan feel or close the doors to keep the two rooms separated. The kitchen has light cupboards with a dark matt back splash that go beautifully together. You will have more then enough cupboard space to keep things stored away giving you free range of the worktop space.
Back into the hallway, you have access to the double bedroom and bathroom – the double bedroom is a generous size with some built in cupboard space and spectacular views of the surrounding trees and greenery.
Finally the bathroom is an excellent size, a pretty free standing tub invites you to enjoy a bubble bath with come candles and relaxing music before you head off to bed and if you’re in a hurry you an hop in and take a shower instead. Although a modern sand tiles finish has been added in the original wooden floorboards mix perfectly.
Outside the well-kept communal grounds are loved by all, on a hot summer’s day you an sit outside with a picnic, enjoying a good book and soak up some sunshine.
If you must commute often, Reigate station is just at the end of the road and has quick links into London, Gatwick and Brighton. Reigate town has a great selection of eateries and entertainment for all ages along.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed living in the flat for the past 6 years and I fell in love with the original features and quirky design when I first saw it. By having the dual aspect the flat is flooded with light all day and despite being in the eaves feels light and airy.
For me the location has been perfect for commuting into London and popping into either Reigate or Redhill town centres.
There is a great community feel with the residents in the building and I was welcomed straight away. During the summer months there is always someone in the garden to say hello to.”
