Reigate High Street only an 8 minute drive away is on the top of our list for places to visit in your free time when you fancy a bit of shopping with independent shops, and eateries.
This has been our family home for 26 years and in the time I worked in London and had young children, the proximity to the station and shops was vital, but 5 minutes one way to M&S is balanced by 5 minutes walk the other way to the green space of common and woods - an ideal combination. Despite how close we are to the town centre, this is a remarkably quiet road, with an eclectic mix of friendly neighbours and an active but unintrusive Resident's Association. The kitchen/diner is flooded with light in the morning, and I will particularly miss sitting in the sunshine with a cup of tea first thing, staring into the garden; then watching the sun set from the sofa in the living room in the evenings.
