This beautiful building has an interesting HISTORY and this SEMI-DETACHED house is in the prime position within its GATED COURTYARD entrance, with ALLOCATED PARKING for two vehicles and a large GARAGE EN-BLOC.
Inside, the hallway has an almost sculptural feel with light cascading down as well as streaming through and you are introduced to the unusually high ceilings and original solid parquet flooring throughout the property. There is a discreet cloakroom straight ahead and to your right, sunlight pours into the elegant living room through no less than two broad windows along the east wall, ideal for relaxing or entertaining.
To the left wing of the house, a bright Cooke and Lewis kitchen/ dining room has sash windows with half shutters and a port hole window high above. Breakfasting on a large dining table will make life easier in the busy morning rush and the intercontinental feel continues with the streamlined Double Decker cupboards and solid Oak work surfaces. There is a Smeg Cooker/Range, integral dishwasher, fridge & freezer, Worcester Bosch Condenser Boiler (3 Years Old), Megaflow Heating System and a separate utility room.
Outside a Commemorative Plaque for the School's Opening in 1913 is a great feature in the garden which is private and enclosed, accessed via a side door in the kitchen/ diner. Spill out to the garden in the warmer months to host summer soirees for your friends and family (or perhaps with the neighbours) with a patio area to dine on and lawn for the children to play on.
Upstairs, the first-floor compromises of four bedrooms, all a good size, three of which have mezzanine levels and there is a family bathroom at the top of the stairs. Each bedroom has parquet flooring, storage and is decorated in a neutral pallet, however the master bedroom has a beautiful patterned feature wall and has its very own en-suite shower room.
Situated in a fantastic location with the station, schools, shops and Priory Park practically on your doorstep.
"This has been an amazing home for us and social gatherings with friend have been great fun with an abundance of space and light. At Christmas time we have managed to fit in a 12’ Christmas tree and had 34 guests for dinner! Never having to wait, the three toilets & two bathrooms have worked very well in this busy household, not to mention the amount of storage cupboards and space it's provided for all our belongings. It's also been a fantastic game for hide & seek with the children! The original architectural features all over were a huge selling point to us when we bought this property and over all it's been the perfect family home which we will miss very much."
